about

"Hate To See You Go" is a song originally made famous by Little Walter in 1955. Walter's vocal abilities have always been overshadowed by his phenomenal harp playing, which was mostly based on licks by Louis Armstrong. With this Stones effort Walter Jacobs himself would smile in his grave. It’s a perfectly executed blues track with Mick Jagger's slightly distorted voice in particular fine form behind the mic and on the harmonica.
